Skataco

Skataco typifies the folk music element that Jacob de Haan integrated in his works under the pseudonym of Tony Jabovski. The words staccato and ska are incorporated in the title. It combines the staccato accompaniment with the typical ska sound.
Ska is a music genre that originated in Jamaica in the late fifties and combines elements of Caribbean mento and calypso with American jazz and rhythm and blues. There was a revival of ska in the eighties with bands like Madness.
